tribute: NOTORIOUS BIG 15 YEARS

I literally just remembered that the Notorious B.I.G died on this day in 1997 and I my last post was on Faith Evans, strange how that happened?! I think we all know enough about Biggie Smalls, so I don’t think any biography is necessary here, just his music and the legacy he left behind – out of curiosity who else wonders what Hip Hop and Rap would be like if the likes of B.I.G were around? I think, ~~everyone~~ a lot of music lovers have a “favourite Biggie song”. Even my mum does! I do, well I have a lot, but I think my favourites have to be the obvious… “Big Poppa” and “One More Chance” – I think we all secretly have that one Biggie song that we know the entire lyrics to, I have a few of those to be honest. The video to “One More Chance” is also one of my favourite videos of all time, I’m not sure when though – it probably has something to do with the fact that I see a load of talented women singing the chorus such Mary J.Blige, Faith Evans, Aaliyah etc. It’s definetly a big shame he ~~died~~ was killed at his prime (24 years old). In regards to the whole Notorious vs Shakur, I must say I love 2 Pac dearly but I do personally prefer Notorious’ music and always will, music-heads will know what I mean. It is worth buying Biggie’s albums they are totally amazing and as for the film “Notorious”, it is a good watch, it gives you a bit of an insight in to the Notorious. This guy made makes me want to have a massive party on a boat or host a house party and stand in the centre of the dance floor looking real shady and cool or use dollar bills as coasters for my cups.
